Agency product description and boundaries

This recall involves CVS Health Medicated Hemorrhoidal Wipes. The pain-relieving wipes were sold in boxes of 20 individually wrapped packets of flushable wipes. The CVS Health logo, a yellow heart, "Rapid Pain Relief" and "Medicated Hemorrhoidal Wipes" is printed on the front of the packet and the box.

Still to verify: match the label on your item with the full official notice, including any exclusions, tables and photos. Some identifiers appear only on the agency website and are absent from this data feed. A missing field does not mean all versions are affected.

If your lot or date falls outside a stated range, this notice has not established that your item is affected. This is not a finding about other recalls or product safety.

2. Agency hazard and consumer action

CPSC reports: The recalled medicated wipes contain lidocaine, which must be in child-resistant packaging, as required by the Poison Prevention Packaging Act. The packaging of the wipes is not child-resistant, posing a risk of serious injury or death from poisoning if the contents of the wipes are ingested by young children.

CPSC consumer action: Consumers should secure the wipes out of sight and reach of children immediately and contact CVS for a full refund. Consumers will be asked to return unopened packets of wipes with the retail box packaging to any CVS store.
