Agency product description and boundaries
Frontrunner Bus Group, Inc. (Frontrunner) is recalling certain 2025 Frontrunner transit buses. The retractors may not lock, preventing the wheelchair from being properly secured.

2. Agency hazard and consumer action
NHTSA reports: An unsecured wheelchair can move during transit, increasing the risk of injury.
NHTSA consumer action: Frontrunner will work with Q'Straint to inspect and replace the retractors, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 3, 2026. Owners may contact Frontrunner's customer service at 1-800-886-9247.
