Agency product description and boundaries
Forest River bus, LLC (Forest River) is recalling certain 2024 Mobility Trans Safetbus, Glaval Universal, 2025 Senator II, and Starcraft Allstar transit buses equipped with certain S-Series and K-Series wheelchair platform lifts. The electrical contactor may fail, preventing the controls from stopping the lift.
Still to verify: match the label on your item with the full official notice, including any exclusions, tables and photos. Some identifiers appear only on the agency website and are absent from this data feed. A missing field does not mean all versions are affected.
If your lot or date falls outside a stated range, this notice has not established that your item is affected. This is not a finding about other recalls or product safety.
Vehicle-specific check required: use NHTSA’s official VIN lookup. Fresh Recalls has not checked a VIN or repair status and does not ask you to submit a VIN.
2. Agency hazard and consumer action
NHTSA reports: A wheelchair lift that continues to move while occupied increases the risk of injury.
NHTSA consumer action: Dealers will correct the wiring by installing two diodes, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 10, 2026. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-800-348-7440. Forest River's number for this recall is 51-2093.
