Agency product description and boundaries
Marathon Industries Inc. (Marathon Industries) is recalling one 2025 Ford F-650 SD vehicle. The deck pins may break, resulting in the liftgate platform falling.
Still to verify: match the label on your item with the full official notice, including any exclusions, tables and photos. Some identifiers appear only on the agency website and are absent from this data feed. A missing field does not mean all versions are affected.
If your lot or date falls outside a stated range, this notice has not established that your item is affected. This is not a finding about other recalls or product safety.
Vehicle-specific check required: use NHTSA’s official VIN lookup. Fresh Recalls has not checked a VIN or repair status and does not ask you to submit a VIN.
2. Agency hazard and consumer action
NHTSA reports: A liftgate that falls unexpectedly increases the risk of injury.
NHTSA consumer action: Marathon Industries will work with the supplier, Hiab, to inspect the platform bushings and hydraulic systems and replace the deck pins, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed September 2026. Owner may contact Marathon Industries' customer service at 1-661-286-1520.
Affected product: Ford F-650 SD
