Agency product description and boundaries
Forest River, Inc (Forest River) is recalling certain 2026-2027 Dynamax Grand Sport GT recreational vehicles. The engine pre-heat pump may have been improperly installed, causing the coolant hose to fail.
Still to verify: match the label on your item with the full official notice, including any exclusions, tables and photos. Some identifiers appear only on the agency website and are absent from this data feed. A missing field does not mean all versions are affected.
If your lot or date falls outside a stated range, this notice has not established that your item is affected. This is not a finding about other recalls or product safety.
Vehicle-specific check required: use NHTSA’s official VIN lookup. Fresh Recalls has not checked a VIN or repair status and does not ask you to submit a VIN.
2. Agency hazard and consumer action
NHTSA reports: A coolant hose failure can cause the engine to overheat, increasing the risk of a crash.
NHTSA consumer action: Dealers will re-pin the wiring harness, re-route the coolant hoses, and replace parts as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 31, 2026. Owners may contact Forest River customer service at 1-574-522-1583. Forest River's number for this recall is 40-2097.
