Agency product description and boundaries
Volvo Car USA, LLC (Volvo Car) is recalling certain 2025-2026 EX30 and 2026 EX30CC vehicles. The head restraint cushion may detach during a crash.
Still to verify: match the label on your item with the full official notice, including any exclusions, tables and photos. Some identifiers appear only on the agency website and are absent from this data feed. A missing field does not mean all versions are affected.
If your lot or date falls outside a stated range, this notice has not established that your item is affected. This is not a finding about other recalls or product safety.
Vehicle-specific check required: use NHTSA’s official VIN lookup. Fresh Recalls has not checked a VIN or repair status and does not ask you to submit a VIN.
2. Agency hazard and consumer action
NHTSA reports: A detached head restraint cushion can increase the risk of injury during a crash.
NHTSA consumer action: Dealers will apply an adhesive to reinforce the head cushion attachment, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 30, 2026. Owners may contact Volvo Car’s customer service at 1-800-458-1552. Volvo Car’s number for this recall is R10396.
