Altec Service Body recall (26V429000)

Hazard: A short may cause the inverter AC wiring to overheat, increasing the risk of a fire.

What to do: Altec will install an electrical receptacle enclosure extension, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed August 28, 2026. Owners may contact Altec customer service at 1-877-462-5832. Altec's number for this recall is CSN-3340.

Description

Altec Industries, Inc. (Altec) is recalling certain 2022-2026 Service Body vehicles. The inverter output AC wiring may be routed too tightly in the electrical receptacle enclosure and become damaged, possibly resulting in a short circuit.
