Agency product description and boundaries
Daimler Trucks North America, LLC (DTNA) is recalling certain 2027 Thomas Built SAF-T-LINER C2 and Thomas Built SAF-T-LINER C2 Jouley school buses. A software error may cause the low beam headlights to illuminate improperly.
Still to verify: match the label on your item with the full official notice, including any exclusions, tables and photos. Some identifiers appear only on the agency website and are absent from this data feed. A missing field does not mean all versions are affected.
If your lot or date falls outside a stated range, this notice has not established that your item is affected. This is not a finding about other recalls or product safety.
Vehicle-specific check required: use NHTSA’s official VIN lookup. Fresh Recalls has not checked a VIN or repair status and does not ask you to submit a VIN.
2. Agency hazard and consumer action
NHTSA reports: Insufficient low beam headlight illumination can reduce driver visibility, increasing the risk of a crash.
NHTSA consumer action: Dealers will inspect and replace the headlights, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed November 30, 2026. Owners may contact DTNA customer service at 1-800-547-0712. DTNA's number for this recall is F1040.
