Agency product description and boundaries
Greenpower Motor Company Inc. (Greenpower) is recalling certain 2021 Nano Beast school buses. A control module interlock software error may allow the bus to move while the wheelchair lift is deployed.
Still to verify: match the label on your item with the full official notice, including any exclusions, tables and photos. Some identifiers appear only on the agency website and are absent from this data feed. A missing field does not mean all versions are affected.
If your lot or date falls outside a stated range, this notice has not established that your item is affected. This is not a finding about other recalls or product safety.
Vehicle-specific check required: use NHTSA’s official VIN lookup. Fresh Recalls has not checked a VIN or repair status and does not ask you to submit a VIN.
2. Agency hazard and consumer action
NHTSA reports: The bus moving while the wheelchair lift is in use increases the risk of injury.
NHTSA consumer action: Dealers will update the control module software, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed October 12, 2026. Owners may contact Greenpower's customer service at 1-909-346-1090. Greenpower's number for this recall is GP2604002.
