Agency product description and boundaries
PACCAR Incorporated (PACCAR) is recalling certain 2027 Peterbilt 567, 579, 589, Kenworth T680, T880, W900, and W990 vehicles. The belt restraint webbing for the sleeper bunk was not secured properly during manufacturing.
Still to verify: match the label on your item with the full official notice, including any exclusions, tables and photos. Some identifiers appear only on the agency website and are absent from this data feed. A missing field does not mean all versions are affected.
If your lot or date falls outside a stated range, this notice has not established that your item is affected. This is not a finding about other recalls or product safety.
Vehicle-specific check required: use NHTSA’s official VIN lookup. Fresh Recalls has not checked a VIN or repair status and does not ask you to submit a VIN.
2. Agency hazard and consumer action
NHTSA reports: A bunk restraint with improperly secured webbing may fail to adequately restrain vehicle occupants during a crash, increasing the risk of injury.
NHTSA consumer action: Dealers will inspect and replace the bunk restraints, as necessary, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 13, 2026. Owners may contact Kenworth's customer service at 1-425-828-5888 and Peterbilt's customer service at 1-940-591-4220. PACCAR's number for this recall is 26PACH.
