Agency product description and boundaries
Spartan Fire, LLC (Spartan) is recalling certain 2025-2026 KME Panther, Predator, 2024-2027 Spartan Fire Metrostar, FC-94, and 2025-2027 Gladiator emergency vehicles. A software error may cause the drive/pump mode control solenoid valve to lose pressure and the driveline pump T-Case to disengage.
Still to verify: match the label on your item with the full official notice, including any exclusions, tables and photos. Some identifiers appear only on the agency website and are absent from this data feed. A missing field does not mean all versions are affected.
If your lot or date falls outside a stated range, this notice has not established that your item is affected. This is not a finding about other recalls or product safety.
Vehicle-specific check required: use NHTSA’s official VIN lookup. Fresh Recalls has not checked a VIN or repair status and does not ask you to submit a VIN.
2. Agency hazard and consumer action
NHTSA reports: Disengagement of the driveline may cause a loss of power to the rear drive axle, increasing the risk of a crash.
NHTSA consumer action: Spartan Fire will provide a software update, free of charge. Owner notification letters are expected to be mailed December 7, 2026. Owners may contact Spartan customer service at 1-517-543-6400. Spartan's number for this recall is 26018.
